Renovation and extension to a vacant cottage in Ringsend, Dublin.

A rental dwelling for anonymous tenants. Humble materials, carefully jointed. Sparing use of hardwood, to heighten experience.

Mute surface with a focus on the universal nature of light and shadow. Neutral aesthetic to illicit interpretation.

Responding positively to a constrained budget. Striving for generosity and an alternative to the typical profit-forward rental paradigm.

Scope: Architectural design, structural design, joinery, and management of subcontractors.
